Dr. Joseph Dastrup graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2009 followed by a surgical and comprehensive dental residency at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2010.
Dr. Dastrup has a true passion for what he does and it is evident in the way he treats his patients like friends. He continues to learn from the most respected educators in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, implant and surgery, and health and airway centered dentistry.
Dr. Dastrup dedicates hundreds of hours each year advancing his skills and knowledge. Some of his most recent achievements have been being awarded the Master of the International Dental Implant Association having placed hundreds of implants and reformed advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Dastrup is an alumni of the Airway Mini Residency, an ambassador of the Breathe Institute, and has studied at the Institute for Craniofacial Sleep Medicine. He is also a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is studying alongside Dr. Coleman at the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Dastrup firmly believes that his patients deserve the highest level of care they desire, and he wants to be able to provide that. He believes that dentistry can be comfortable and painless, and through educating his patients and giving them options, together they can decide the care that will give them confidence along with health and wellness.
When not in the office, or not attending educational courses, Dr. Dastrup enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. Their most enjoyable activities include enjoying the lake, enjoying the outdoors, and participating in sporting events with his children. He and his family are also dedicated to serving God as well as promoting kindness in the community.
